Celebrating Spring With Vestige

In celebration of Spring, we teamed up with Etsuko Photography and Vestige for a special project showcasing the natural environment as this beautiful time of year.

Our designer, Eriko, chose Steveston Village as the location for this photoshoot where she is inspired by and feels connected to the surroundings.

"Vestige Story uses some beautiful fabric from Japan, where both Etsuko and I are from," Eriko explains. "Steveston also has a lot of influence from Japan. People immigrated to Canada around World War II and established a Japanese community there, including one of my relatives. Somehow, we all connected to this special place. This shoot felt like a reflection of my personal aesthetic, focussing on simplicity, nostalgia and natural spirit."

Intimate Winter Elopement

If you've always imagined an intimate, Winter wonderland for your wedding day, this outdoor Whistler elopement is sure to inspire you.

When we first shared images of this beautiful wedding on Instagram, we had people inquire as to whether it was a styled editorial session. We can assure you this was a real wedding! Ailee and Gary said their vows in the company of three witnesses - the bride's brother, sister in-law, and their new baby.

Private and personal, this couple worked with Best Day Ever to plan and design their dream destination wedding from their home in Santa Monica. It goes to show that a small wedding can be every bit as elegant and romantic as a large celebration.

Fall Whistler Wedding

This Fall wedding in Whistler was filled with so many of our favorite things. Rustic fall hues, natural-inspired florals and decor, a family-style harvest dinner and a stunning lakeside venue in Nita Lake Lodge.

Incorporating the harvest feel into the florals we accented the centerpieces with grapes, figs and dates, and pepper berry, along with other lush seasonal blooms and foliage such as dahlia, astilbe, oak leaves, smokebush, scabiosa and garden roses.

Lakeside Wedding Inspiration

Today we're sharing this organic wedding inspiration shoot we had the pleasure of working on with Sarah Park Events.

Published on Magnolia Rouge, this editorial highlighted the lakeside's best attributes, with everything from the florals to the tabletop pieces and stationery blending in seamlessly with the surrounds.

While we are loving every minute of this glorious Summer, reliving this shoot sure has us dreaming of Fall and all of its colors and textures.

The Art of Romance

As we're beautifully consumed by another Summer wedding season, we always find ourselves thinking back to some of our favorite designs from weddings past.

We had a ball creating this modern and geometric-inspired wedding with Petite Pearl Events; the color palette alone was a fun challenge. (Red, navy, sea-foam green, gold and silver was the inspiration!)

When the florals and the decor combined, it was a fresh combination that beautifully complemented the couple and their venue, the Vancouver Art Gallery.
