Jewel-toned treasure at North Arm Farm

Rich, vibrant colors combined with some of British Columbia's most spectacular scenery was the perfect back drop for this outdoor, Summer delight at North Arm Farm in Pemberton last year.

With the sun shining ever-so brightly, V + R said their vows under a floral-adorned birch arbor before sitting down for an outdoor dinner reception.

We used a combination of ranunculus, snap dragons, roses, garden roses, dahlia and carnations to achieve a balance between the rich, jewel-toned colors and stronger, more-vibrant tones. This was complemented by the use of eucalyptus and hanging amaranthus for greenery and texture.

Thoughtfully and beautifully planned and styled by Beau and Arrow Events and photographed by Robin O'Neill Photography, we hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed reliving the florals.

From the inbox

We always love it when little surprises land in our inbox... they never cease to bring a smile to our face. Like these beauties from Powder Blue Bijoux and Maru Photography.

We first met these two wonderful creatives on the set of our Let it Snow-inspired photoshoot.

It was a pleasure to then design a bouquet for Powder Blue Bijoux to use in photographing their new products, which was shot by Maru Photography.

To get a behind-the-scenes peek with these striking images... well we were just chuffed.

Thank you ladies!

Classic and playful

This delightful couple have style for miles, a characteristic that was shown to perfection through these wedding photos by ShoeBox Photography.

Erika and Adam came to us wanting wedding florals that were "classic with a bit of playfulness" to complement the amazing venue that is Terminal City Club. They were also drawn towards florals with interesting shapes, such as hypericum, cymbidium, dendrobium and bells of Ireland; blooms we incorporated throughout their bouquets, personal flowers and arrangements.

With a colour palette of white, grey and green we decided to use two different centerpiece styles to add dimension to the room. Half of the tables featured a low and lush pedestal-vase arrangement while on the other tables we created tall and full arrangements in cone vases that were accented by floral votives around the base.

New workshops, new dates

We have been overwhelmed (in the best possible way) with the love and enthusiasm for our flower school classes since we started them in late 2013.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a class, spread the news, made an inquiry, or even just given our workshops some love on social media. We are so grateful for your support and are excited to continue the flower school adventures with this new series of classes!

Throughout May and June we are celebrating all that is beautiful in Spring... and yes, that includes peonies.

We know you love them so much we have devoted an ENTIRE workshop to peonies.

A natural delight

The opportunity to bring a client's vision to life is what we live for here at Celsia. It's the most fulfilling feeling to see all those pages of sketches and endless pins on a Pinterest board turned in to a tangible design at a celebration event.

We had this joy recently when we were asked to dream up and create florals for Farmacie's long table dinner event. A collaborative effort by many local businesses (and yes, you know we love a good collaboration) the event raised money for Vancouver-based organisations  Quest Food Exchange and Backpack Buddies

Drawing on a natural, organic and sustainable vision which supports Farmacie's ethos, we worked predominantly with foliage for this entire event. We made greenery chandeliers which were suspended from the ceiling, laid greens garlands down the length of the long tables and made minimalist floral arrangements in wooden planter boxes which were accompanied by herb planters donated by Urban Zucchini

The talented ladies as Spruce Collective pulled it all together with their unique decor and eye for detail, and we think you'll agree the result was a magical evening.

These beautiful images were captured by photographer Gillian Stevens. You can see more images from the event here
