New Year Inspiration

Happy 2014 and welcome to a wonderful New Year!

To the newly-engaged brides-to-be, congratulations! What an exciting way to start the year!

We are celebrating 2014 with the news our New Year's bridal inspiration shoot with Smitten Events and Jamie Lauren Photography is featured on Wedding Chicks. This jewel-toned treat is filled with style, playfulness, and a healthy dose of glitter; the perfect ingredients for any party, don't you think?

We designed a floral garland for the tablescape, a large floral wreath for the ceremony, along with a bridal and bridesmaid bouquet, hair crown, boutonniere, and other accents such as those seen on the bar cart.

Wreath making flower school

Thank you to all of the wonderful ladies who have joined us for holiday wreath making classes in the past week.

As well as our sold-out Celsia Flower School class, we also hosted two private in-store workshops and have been thrilled with the variety of creations everyone has come up with.

It is always amazing to see how many different designs can come about starting with just one bucket of simple Winter greens.

There’s certainly some talented people out there – not to mention some well-decorated front doors and interiors!

A special thanks must go to Simply Rose Photography for capturing the festive fun seen here, and to Les Petits Bonheurs for providing the scrumptious desserts enjoyed by our Flower School attendees.

The cold snap that is suddenly upon us couldn't make this editorial feature more fitting.

Published today on Real Weddings is our collaboration with a group of amazing vendors including Maru Photography and Red Carpet Ready by Christina who developed the concept for this "Let it snow"-themed bridal shoot at Cecil Green Park House.

Taking inspiration from the holiday season with the finest trimmings, we created a warm and luxurious setting showcasing a modern yet romantic and classic style, complete with an elegant tablescape and indulgent dessert bar.

Romantic garden wedding

A bride with a love of garden roses, ranunculus and French anemones. Hello, have we met?

When Anne-Marie came to us for her wedding florals we were only too happy to share in her love of these beautiful blooms. Despite ranunculus being out of season, we were able to secure a small supply to use throughout her bouquets and centerpieces which were a surprise for the bride on her special day. We love surprises!

These dreamy images by Blush and Whimsy perfectly captured the elegant garden wedding vision Anne-Marie and Mike set out to achieve at Cecil Green Park House.

Add in her Vera Wang gown and metallic Kate Spade pumps, along with a host of personalized DIY projects crafted to perfection, this was one stylish wedding for a truly lovely couple.

The day was pulled seamlessly together with the help of Spread Love Events who brought their attention to detail to the celebration as Annie and Mike's month-of coordinators.

A blushing bride

These photos of Sarah and Steve's Summer wedding captured by Allison Suter Photography are sure to make you smile.

We first met Sarah at her floral consultation where she brought in an inspiration image from a Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. (You can see this picture on the right of the first image below).

This beautiful inspiration combined with a custom show-stopping gown by New Westminster talent Ellebay Bridal had us instantly excited about their September nuptials at Brock House Restaurant.

We used dahlia, roses, garden roses, lisianthus, blushing brides, sedum, snowberry and eucalyptus, among other blooms, to recreate the look and feel of this inspiration bouquet. We were a little attached to it by the time it was finished!

We think you'll agree this wedding was a natural stunner.
